Taylor Swift has reveled how she and Joe Jonas were dating and he dumped her over the phone in a 27 second phone call. Taylor has been speaking in magazines, on T.V, On myspace and has even wrote a song (forever and always) about the break-up.
I am completely confused by this whole situation. Speaking as a fan of both Taylor and Joe, i can see both views. The Jonas brothers have always (been told to?) keep quiet about who they are dating and so this being spread around about his personal life must feel very intrusive. Taylor has always prided herself on being honest with her fans and likes to be viewed as accessible and the girl anyone could be friends with. Those are my fair opinions on the situation as a fan of both parties.
However, as it is I am 19 year old girl, around Taylor’s age. If a boy had hurt me in the way Joe has so very obviously hurt Taylor, i would respond in exactly the same way. Why shouldn’t Taylor tell everybody the truth about what has happend. Sure in a few years she’ll wish she had kept a dignified silence, but as it is now she wants revenge and for everybody to realise that Joe is no different to all the other boys out there, he can still be a shitty person at times.
The recent breakthrough in this story is that Joe and Camilla Belle are now dating, she is currently holidaying with the boys and their family in Mexico. I honestly saw this one coming, a few months back i read an interview with Joe saying his ideal girl was Camilla Belle, then when she was in the Jonas boys Lovebug music video, even though he was still dating Taylor, i knew it wouldn’t be long until they got together. After all who can say no to a Jonas Brother? If it is true though and they didn’t hook up until after Joe and Taylor were dunzo, its pretty low of Joe to take her on holiday with him where they are bound to be photographed. Hopefully we will see Taylor with a hot new boy on her arm soon.
